Fish, Haute Couture and Working for the City

So I'm making fish, I should have about 8 sellable fish and am going to sell through the coffee house circuit. Michael Slosek picked out 180 some one-line poems and I'm going to do some calligraphy/typograpy on that. And the other thing is that I'm going to beta test the Chicago Artists Resource site and see if I can turn that into some kind of job.

Those are the big three.

The fish are interesting. I'd rather be writing huge poems on a wall, but this is still good artmaking work, working a lot with color, shape and design and technique. May end up a good ceramic artist someday. I made a new type of fish in this batch called Robofish that are supposed to look like metal found art fish, but they are made out of clay, painted silver.

I'm researching glazing and decorating techniques, and other research is Haiku.

Oh, I was looking at the title and think of the fish as my sellable, art commodity. But my haute couture line is where I'm really at, and loves impracticality.

OK, diary writing always knocks me out.
